Tracy Priest – Understanding Functions (Task 1)

Last year I introduced my year 7s to algorithms and functions. I had them pick a random, everyday task and write out the steps for that particular task. Then I stood at the front of the class and tried to complete their task via their instructions. I then demonstrated having a student walk blindfolded from one side of the class to the other. It was awesome and funny and the students really seemed to enjoy it.
