The AutoCAD history dates back to 1982 when AutoCAD was first introduced. It was developed in 1982 by Autodesk and originally sold in the United States, Canada, and Europe as a PC software product. It was first released in December of that year.
During the 1980s, computers with graphical capabilities became the norm and CAD started to become a commonly used software application.
